The National Autonomous University of Mexico recognizes the trajectory of the UCLM professor Pedro Cerrillo

The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) will distinguish, next September 18th, Pedro Cerrillo, professor of Didactics of Language and Literature, and director of the Centre of Studies for the Promotion of Reading and Children's Literature (CEPLI) of the University of Castilla- La Mancha (UCLM). He will receive this recognition for his academic and research trajectory of more than 40 years, his investigations, projects, publications, and capacity to coordinate work teams.

The professor of Didactics of Language and Literature and director of the Center of Studies for the Promotion of Reading and Children's Literature (CEPLI) of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Pedro Cerrillo, will be distinguished, next 18 September, with the "Recognition" of the School of High Studies of the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). UNAM that its Faculty of Philosophy and Letters annually grants since 2012.

This award aims to reward Higher Education scholars who made an outstanding contribution in teaching, research, and the diffusion of the humanities, while valuing his more than 40-year academic and research trajectory, his research, projects, publications, and ability to coordinate work teams.

The candidacy of Pedro Cerrillo was presented by Dr. Maria Teresa Miaja, and professors of the Postgraduate Course in Literature of the UNAM, and was endorsed by more than 100 Mexican, Spanish, Argentine, Chilean, Colombian, Brazilian and American teachers, researchers, and institutions. Among those institutions, there can be found the UCLM, Biblioteca Cervantes Virtual (Cervantes Virtual Library), Vice-Ministry of Culture of the JCCM (Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha, Council of Communities of Castilla la Mancha), RACAL, Cátedra Mario Benedetti, Fundalectura (Colombia), Fundación Cuatrogatos (United States), Cátedra Unesco de (Brazil), Faculty of Humanities from University of Bio Bio (Chile), as well as by professors and researchers from several universities, including Almería, Alicante, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Murcia, La Laguna, Basque Country, Cádiz, Santiago de Compostela, La Plata (Argentina), UAM (México), Veracruzana (Mexico), Pedagogical (Mexico), Passo Fundo (Brazil), Estatal Paulista (Brazil), Do Minho (Portugal), and Bio Bio (Chile).
