The charity run Campus a Través brings together almost 4,500 participants

The solidarity run Campus a Través has gathered about 4,500 participants in the different campuses and headquarters of the University of Castilla-La Mancha. The runners have run four kilometers for a good cause since the academic institution will provide an economic amount to different NGOs for each of those who have managed to finish the race.

Almost 4,500 members of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) participated last Tuesday afternoon, 7th November, in the third charity run Campus a Través, held at the campuses of Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, and Toledo, as well as at the headquarters of Almadén and Talavera de la Reina, for humanitarian purposes.

The institution has once again exceeded the expectations of this race to which more than half a thousand runners have registered, outnumbering the previous edition. Students, teaching and research staff, administration and services staff, alumni and students of the Erasmus program have taken part in this fun and festive day that has managed to combine the sporting nature of the run, with the support of vulnerable groups, since the UCLM will allocate an economic amount to different charities for each runner who has reached the goal.

The race, with a distance of four kilometers, has started simultaneously in all the campuses and headquarters of the regional University at 4.30 pm, starting from the Plaza de la Universidad in Albacete, from the School of Mining and Industrial Engineering in Almadén, from the Faculty of Sciences and Chemical Technologies in Ciudad Real, the Library of Cuenca, the meeting point of the faculties in Talavera de la Reina, and from the Plaza del Sagrado Corazón in Toledo.
