The ess group has been awarded a grant from the EC to purchase a dual polarization radar. This new instrument will complement the existing x-band radar we have in operation in the Central System mountains (depicted), which is operated thanks to Prof. Jose Bodoque and the IGME (Dr. Andrés Díez Herrero). The new infraestructure will streght our (modest) contribution to the GPM-Ground Validation (GV) working group.
