Duties:

  • To put forward the strategy lines in information and communications technology.
  • To supervise the activities carried out in accordance with the goals set.
  • To promote use of information and communications technology to improve  performance of university duties
  • To put forward the methods, instructions, procedures and specific processes which contribute towards increasing computer security.
  • To inform about initiatives and actions for improving security in information systems and promotion of the projects and acquisitions which are required to set up the security measures and actions.
  • To supervise the security measures set up.
  • To ensure awareness, education and training in security matters for all university staff.
  • To obtain the support of the Office for the Management of Infrastructures for planning and carrying out physical infrastructure activities at the university.
  • To create task forces to draw up and propose specific actions in the framework of Information Technology, Communications and Computing Security.
