The degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the Master´s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) have been recognised with the international seals of Chemistry quality Euro bachelor, EUR-ACE Bachelor and EUR-ACE Masters in that order. The certificate awarded by ANECA after a rigorous assessment procedure accredits attainment of academic and research quality according to European standards and brings to six the degrees from the regional university which have this certificate.

Three new qualifications, two degrees and one master´s from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) have been recognised with the international seals of quality which are awarded in Spain by the National Agency for the Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation (ANECA). These are the degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering which have obtained the seals Chemistry Eurobachelor and EUR-ACE Bachelor, respectively; and the Master´s in Chemical Engineering recognised by the EUR-ACE Master´s which are taught at the Faculty of Sciences and Chemical Technologies on the Ciudad Real campus.

The EUR-ACE seals for Engineering and Chemistry Quality Eurabel are certificates awarded by an agency authorized by the European Network for the Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) and the European Chemistry Thematic Network Association (ECTN), respectively, to a university as regards a degree evaluated according to a series of standards that have been defined according to the principles of quality, relevance, transparency, recognition and mobility contemplated in the European Space for Higher Education. These seals recognise and accredit teaching and research quality, internationalization and adequate professional mentoring for degree and master´s students.

The chancellor of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Miguel Ángel Collado, congratulated the Faculty of Sciences and Chemical Technologies and the Department of Chemical Engineering for the recognition obtained and emphasized that the seals “are just one more sample of the excellence of your work, which we are very proud of".

So far, three UCLM degrees have had the seal of international quality: the degree in Civil and Territorial Engineering and the University Master´s in Civil Engineering with the EUR-ACE; and the degree in Computer Engineering with the EURO-INF. The latter was awarded by an agency in Spain, ANECA, authorized by the European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education (EQANIE).
