From 26 to 27 April, the seventh consortium meeting of the reZEB project was held in Pristina. The project is coordinated by UCLM professor Juan J. Hernández Adrover, with the participation of researcher Amparo Pazo and Professor Esperanza Monedero, all members of the IIER.
The Erasmus+ reZEB project (Fostering Renewable Energy Technologies and Energy Efficiency Knowledge towards Near Zero Energy Buildings of Engineers and Professionals in Western Balkan Countries) aims to promote cooperation between universities in the European Union and the Western Balkans in order to improve education and training in renewable energy and energy efficiency in buildings. Its main actions include updating and developing academic courses, improving technical equipment, and providing training for teaching and administrative staff, as well as strengthening collaboration with the local industrial sector to enhance its competitiveness.
The consortium is composed of three European Union universities (UCLM–Spain, e-Campus–Italy and NUP–Cyprus) and five universities, together with one vocational training centre, from the Western Balkans (POLIS, KPT and UET from Albania, and UC and IBC-M from Kosovo).
During the meeting, the project’s ongoing activities were coordinated and the progress achieved to date was assessed. In addition, a training event was held as part of the meeting, aimed primarily at the business sector of Albania and Kosovo. The even focused on solar photovoltaic applications for achieving near zero energy buildings and was entitled “Solar Energy Systems for Near Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB): Technical and Regulatory Aspects”.
