Responsibilities
A

ccording to the Ruling of 04/04/2016 of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, on delegation of responsibilities of the Chancellor for different matters and institutions, the Vice-chancellor for Students and Social Responsibility oversees:

  • The powers and responsibilities regarding entrance, appointment and the control the courts have over the entrance examinations and student admissions to degree courses; as well as those referring to continuance at the university and the promotion of degree and Master´s  degrees.
  • The responsibilities for grants and study aids, provision of holistic attention to the student and student exchange programmes among Spanish universities.
  • Responsibilities for  academic affairs related to the systems the students have, in which the responsibilities for assessment of these are included. For these purposes, the authorization conferred by the second additional regulation of the Student Assessment Regulation of the University of  Castilla-La Mancha, approved by the Board of Governors on the 28th of May of 2014 must be considered to be favourable to the Vice-chancellor´s office for Students and Social Responsibility.
  • Judgements on how many appeals students make against rulings the university takes regarding the system for certified programmes of study, except for Doctorates, unless these judgements or actions have been made by the Vice-Chancellor for Students and Social Responsibility.
  • The responsibilities regarding   academic discipline matters for students, as well as disciplinary power as regards the students  except for applying penalties for very serious offences.
  • Responsibilities in relation to  higher management and with the coordination of the university libraries, as well as signing agreements and contracts whose purpose is  to increase the bibliographical and documentary heritage at the university, except that regarding research resources.
  • Responsibilities corresponding to the Chancellor regarding social responsibility and nurturing solidarity, defending equality and integration, driving volunteer work, as well as signing agreements and lines of activity which have a positive impact not just on the university community but also on society as a whole. In general, as many powers conferred on  the Chancellor within the field of students and social responsibility at the university according to the legislation in force, the University Statutes and other applicable regulations.
