Dr. Mario Gutiérrez Tovar earned his BS and MS degrees from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM, Spain) in 2012 and 2014, respectively. He completed his PhD in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in 2017 under the supervision of Prof. Abderrazzak Douhal (Femtoscience and Microscopy Group, UCLM). In 2019, he joined the Multifunctional Materials and Composites Lab (MMC Lab, Department of Engineering Science) at the University of Oxford (United Kingdom) as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, under the direction of Prof. Jin-Chong Tan. In 2021, Dr. Gutiérrez Tovar returned to the Femtoscience and Microscopy Group (Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Biochemistry, Toledo, UCLM) as an Assistant Professor. At the beginning of 2024, he secured a permanent position as an Associate Professor. In 2024, he was awarded the ERC Starting Grant (StG) for the HyperFMOF project, receiving funding of €1,614,000. |
