The UCLM, distinguished with the best monograph in Art and Humanities of the XX National University Publishing Award

The work Cabaret Voltaire, by José Antonio Sarmiento García, from the edition of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), has been distinguished as the best monograph in Arts and Humanities at the XX National University Publishing Award. The jury acknowledged this publication of the regional University "for being an important anthology with a careful edition"

The University Edition, of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), has been distinguished with the best monograph in Art and Humanities at the XX National University Publishing Award held in Madrid for the work Cabaret Voltaire, by José Antonio Sarmiento García.

The jury of this contest—integrated by Juan Manuel Bonet Planes, director of the Instituto Cervantes; Vicent Climent, rector of the Jaume I University (representing CRUE Spanish Universities); Manuel Rodríguez Rivero, a literary critic; Nuria Azancot, chief editor of El Cultural from El Mundo (cultural magazine from the newspaper El Mundo); and Berna Gonzalez Harbor, writer and journalist from El Pais—has recognized the publication of the UCLM "for being an important anthology with a careful edition." This twentieth edition quotes that the best works published by Spanish universities and research centers during 2016 have been awarded.

Moreover, the works awarded have been: Con el alba: El Cuaderno de Francia (1916): Manuscrito inédito de Ramón María del Valle-Inclán (University of Santiago de Compostela), as the best edited work; Las especies del género "centaurea" en la Península Ibérica y Baleares (University of Cordoba), as the best monograph in Sciences, Engineering and Architecture; Hematología (Prensas de la Universidad de Zaragoza, university publishing editor), as the best monograph in Health Sciences; Francisco Tomás and Valiente. Memoria y legado de un maestro (University of Salamanca), as the best monograph in Legal and Social Sciences; El viaje allende los tres mares de Afanasi Nikitin (Spanish National Research Council), as the best translation; Anejos de la revista de literatura (Spanish National Research Council), as the best collection; Memorias de Fernando Álvarez de Sotomayor (universities of Santiago de Compostela, Granada, and Talca), as the best interuniversity joint publishing; La historia de las culturas políticas en España y América Latina (prensas de la Universidad de Zaragoza y Marcial Pons, publishing editor and specialist bookshop respectively), as the best joint publication with a private publisher; and ¿Las algas se comen? (University of Cadiz), as the best work of scientific dissemination

It is worth noting that the 128 works will be exhibited in the BOE bookshop (Trafalgar 27, Madrid), until next October 16. Thus, becoming the fifth year that the Spanish University Publishers' Association (UNE) takes this initiative in order to bring university publishing production to society.
