This seal internationally certifies that this bachelor degree meets the professional requirements in the field of engineering, having been evaluated through a series of standards—defined in accordance with the principles of quality, relevance, transparency, recognition, and mobility.

In this sense, the rector of the regional university, Miguel Ángel Collado Yurrita, pointed out that "our students, increasingly committed to society, demand a quality education in knowledge and skills that allow them to continue learning throughout their professional life and prepare them for their future, and this recognition tells us that we are on the right path."

Awarded by the ENAEE, through the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain (ANECA), the award ceremony was held during the "EUR-ACE accreditation Workshop: reflections and new challenges." The rector, the Vice Chancellor of Teaching, Mabel López Solera; and the director of the ETSI of Roads, Canal, and Ports Engineering, Ana Rivas Sanz; as well as representatives from agencies, universities, and employers attended this seminar.

Those attending the meeting highlighted the importance and the need for engineering to be accredited with European quality standards in an increasingly globalized world with an economy that transcends borders. European engineers must be able, they said, to put into practice their know-how by solving problems with a high impact on society, and must be trained in transversal competences that allow them to work as a team in any field of engineering and elsewhere of the world, as demanded by the labor market.
