Professors from the Higher School of Computer Science and the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering in Albacete, participated in the project Erasmus+ ‘Remote Labs for Engineering’ (RL4Eng), speerheaded by the University of Yarmouk in Jordan. The aim of the project is to improve the quality of education in countries outside the EU and make them more relevant in the current world of digital transformation by establishing remote, online laboratories for teaching and training engineering students.

The project ‘Remote Labs for Engineering’  is based on virtual classes. "Distance education must be seen as an important competitive part of higher education in terms of nurturing an original educational environment", the researchers state.
The project will last three years in which the European partners will provide the consortium the tools and good practices the students need to connect to a remote server to carry out the laboratory work or to carry out the experimentvirtually at home, with supervision that is remote and synchronised with the teacher.
The RL4Eng consortium is made up of 15 members, including the University of  Castilla-La Mancha, from six countries (Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Tanzania, Spain and Germany) and three different locations (two countries in the Middle East, two south of the Mediterranen and two European ones).
