Postdococtoral Researcher Position

Project Association: ERC StG HyperFMOF (ref. 101163095)
Start Date (Duration): June 2025 (2 years with the possibility of extension)

We are pleased to announce a postdoctoral research position associated with the ERC StG HyperFMOF project (ref. 101163095) at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Toledo, Spain.

The HyperFMOF project aims to develop and comprehensively characterize novel hyperfluorescent materials based on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). These materials will be evaluated through chemical, structural, morphological, spectroscopic, and photodynamic analyses, with the objective of integrating them as the electroluminescent layer in MOF-based light-emitting diodes (MOF-LEDs).

Requirements:

  • The candidate must hold a PhD degree in chemistry or similar by the start date.
  • Strong background in organic synthesis with a track record of publication in high impact journals is required.
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in the synthesis of organic ligands for Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs).
  • Experience in the synthesis and characterization of MOFs is highly desirable.
  • A high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential.
  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to write scientific articles and present research findings at conferences.
  • Strong teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to contribute innovative ideas to the project.
  • The ability to mentor graduate students is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the use and maintenance of the wet lab.
  • Contributing to the synthesis and characterization of compounds relevant to the HyperFMOF project.
  • Writing and publishing scientific papers in high-impact journals.
  • Presenting research findings at international conferences.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members to achieve project objectives.
  • This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

We look forward to receiving applications from highly motivated and qualified individuals. Candidates are required to submit their CV along with two recommendation letters, compiled into a single PDF file by March 14th to mario.gutierrez@uclm.es.

More PhD and Postdoc positions will be available soon - stay tuned!
