Implementation of the modules of the ACIBERA Project programme.


Module 1

Beyond unique stories: connecting with cultural diversity

Contents:
· Presentation of the Programme.
· Negotiation and development of classroom rules.
· Intercultural sensitivity: recognition and respect for cultural diversity.
· Social construction of normality: discrimination, racism and privilege.
· Introduction to hate speech on social media due to racism, xenophobia, and cultural and ethnic prejudice.

Contents:
· What is online and offline hate speech?
· Possible causes of cyber hate.
· Digital mechanisms that promote and perpetuate hate speech based on cultural and ethnic prejudice, racism, and xenophobia.
· Cyber hate V.S freedom of expression and opinion.
· Impact of cyber hate on young people's daily lives.

Who's Who? Victim, perpetrator or bystander

Contents:
· Characteristics of the roles of perpetrator, victim and bystander in cyber hate.
· Social-emotional skills for the prevention of cyber hate.
· Coping skills in the face of possible cyber hate perpetration.
· Reflections on being a cyber hate spectator.
· Empathy as a social skill when dealing with victims of cyber hate.

ESCapArte of cyber hate

· Culture of awareness in anti-cyber hate in educational centres.
· Content creation (online and offline).
· Anti-cyber hate campaigns targeting cultural and ethnic prejudice, racism, and xenophobia.
· Preparation of the exhibition ‘ESCapArte’.
