part from being the first element in social progress, the University of Castilla-La Mancha contributes towards creating economic activity and to improving the income and employment rate in the area in which it is located. The UCLM has a multi-faceted, productive and beneficial relationship with companies and for society as a whole.

As stated in reports such as that of the Foundation for knowledge and Development (FCyD) for 2015 which ascribes Castilla-La Mancha  with one of the greatest rates of activity among its university graduates in the whole of Spain, just behind Catalonia which has  a rate of 84.6%. Investment in higher university education in Castilla-La Mancha has the potential to be transferred to industrial activity in 85% of cases, which is over 3.5 points above the national average. In this way it makes a contribution to creating regional wealth.
