The Oreto research group is mainly focused on the design and develop of intelligent systems to solve complex problems by using Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques.
The group is composed of researchers from the Superior School of Computing, the Polytechnic School of Almadén and the School of Industrial Engineering of Toledo (University of Castilla-La Mancha).
Since their beginning, different areas of AI, such as expert systems, learning algorithms and knowledge acquisition have been applied to 3D image synthesis, motion capture, intelligent surveillance systems, electronic commerce, medicine, etc. These works have been conducted under public funding, establishing collaborations with other national and international research groups and regional and national enterprises.
