The Confucius Institute at UCLM Brings Chinese Culture to IES Sefarad Through Workshops and Cultural Demonstrations
On June 10, the Confucius Institute at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) organized and coordinated a cultural outreach event at IES Sefarad, introducing secondary school students to some of the most representative traditions of Chinese culture.
For this occasion, the Confucius Institute welcomed artists from the Quanzhou Cultural Center, who presented a diverse program featuring traditional puppet workshops, Chinese martial arts demonstrations, a tea ceremony exhibition, and displays of traditional handicrafts. These activities gave students the opportunity to explore different aspects of China’s rich cultural heritage through engaging, hands-on experiences.
Coordinated by the Confucius Institute at UCLM, the event fostered an atmosphere of enthusiasm and active participation. Secondary school students greatly enjoyed the workshops and performances, interacting with the artists and gaining first-hand insight into traditional Chinese arts and customs.
Through initiatives like this, the Confucius Institute at UCLM continues to strengthen its commitment to promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Spain and China, creating meaningful educational experiences that encourage curiosity, dialogue, and appreciation for cultural diversity.
