Analytical Nano Group

Automation, Simplification and Miniaturization of Analytical Processes

SCIENTIFIC TRAJECTORY OF THE RESEARCH TEAM

The research team called ‘Simplification, Automation and Miniaturization of Analytical Processes’ is part since 2012 of the “Analytical-Nano-Group”, being Ángel Ríos, full Professor of the UCLM, the head of the group.

The group is integrated by 3 full professors, 8 associate professors, 3 post-doctoral researchers, and  several pre-doctoral students. The fields of researech in which the group is mainly interested are:

  • (i) Simplification-automation of sample preparation for analytical purposes;
  • (ii) miniaturization of analytical processes and (iii) detection systems;
  • (iv) analytical uses and characterization of nanomaterials;
  • (v) carry out contributions to metrology for nanomaterials, as well as quality assurance issues.

The group has research collaborations with other national and international groups, as well as during last years the group has been involved in the organization of two international congresses and one national workshop, being the PI of the group, chair in all these cases.

The main values of the group are:

  •  To integrate and form investigators to produce significant human an scientific resources (since 2012, three different research groups were integrated).
  •  To promote interdisciplinarity in the group, involving analytical chemists, biologists and biochemists, and engineers.
  •  To enhance internationality through different projects and scientific collaboration with foreign groups.
