Criminology Research Centre
University of Castilla-La Mancha

The Criminology Research Centre at the University of Castilla-La Mancha was created in 1999 as a result of the work conducted by professors and researchers associated with the Research Group in Criminology and Juvenile Delinquency and other professors who had carried out empirical research in the field.

Since then, the Centre has undertaken to promote criminological research at regional, national and European level through its participation in different competitive calls, allowing us to develop and strengthen our research lines. Since its inception, the Centre has been driven by a strong commitment to transferring knowledge to society, with the aim that the scientific production of our research should shape and modify decision-making in the professional field, and in public policy, especially that related to social and criminal contexts.

Furthermore, the Centre has worked extensively to support undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies in Criminology at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, thus promoting the training of professionals who understand and apply our scientific findings in their practice, enhancing the effectiveness of their interventions in whatever field of Criminology they work.
