Nowadays, it is very common to come across harmful fake news on social media targeting various individuals and groups, and, thanks to modern technology, this can even take the form of photographs and/or videos. For this reason, on Wednesday 25 March, a session on fake news was held at IES Parque Lineal, aimed at young students, with the aim of providing examples, explaining the concept and highlighting the key ways to distinguish it from real news.

During the session, a piece of fake news concerning unaccompanied foreign minors (UFMs) was used as an example. Following this, a comprehensive infographic was provided explaining the true meaning of the term, along with some tips on how to avoid misinformation from fake news or hoaxes.
