UCLM research combining neuroscience and education to advance the identification of gifted students

Eloy García-Pérez, EPIC PhD researcher, took part in the 34th International Electrotechnical and Computer Science Conference (ERK 2025), held in Portorož, Slovenia.

The event, organized by the IEEE Slovenia Section together with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana, provided the stage for presenting a school-based protocol to record and analyze brain signals using electroencephalography (EEG). This study, conducted in collaboration with the Faculty of Education and the School of Industrial Engineering of Albacete, examines how signal processing and machine learning methods can support the early identification of gifted students and inform evidence-based educational practices.
