Teaching innovation project focused on Place-Based Learning (PBL), a pedagogical approach that connects teaching and learning processes with the immediate cultural, social, and environmental surroundings of students. PBL is based on the idea that the immediate context—the classroom, the school, the neighborhood, or the natural environment—is a primary pedagogical resource for promoting meaningful learning, strengthening a sense of belonging, and developing a critical understanding of the lived space.

The proposal is aimed at the initial training of university teachers and its main objective is to introduce and experiment with EBL from an interdisciplinary perspective that integrates Art Education (art and music), Pedagogy, and English.

The project is structured in four phases:
(1) Theoretical basis and awareness of EBL.
(2) Collaborative design of interdisciplinary teaching experiences.
(3) Implementation of micro-projects in universities and, where possible, in collaboration with schools.
(4) Evaluation of results.

Overall, this initiative seeks to improve teacher training by promoting skills such as critical thinking, social and environmental awareness, and the ability to integrate diverse knowledge into contextualized projects.
