The UCLM is the fifth public university with the highest relative growth of master's degree students

The UCLM is the fifth public university with the highest relative growth of master’s degree students (24.6%), the seventh in absolute terms, according to the Statistics of University Students 2016-2017, published by the Ministry of Education. This represents an increase four times higher than the 50 Spanish public universities registered in the academic year 2016-2017. A total of 1,787 students chose the UCLM to study official Master Degrees.

A total of 1,787 students chose the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) to enroll official Master Degrees, according to the Statistics of University Students 2016-17, published by the Ministry of Education. The data show an increase of 24.6%, placing it as the fifth public university with a higher growth in this sense, and the seventh with the highest increase in absolute terms with 353 students in a single academic year.

This increase of 24.6% of enrolled students at the regional University is four times higher than the registered by the 50 Spanish public universities in the academic year 2016-2017 (6.2% on average). This comparison is also favorable if the 31 private Spanish universities are taken into consideration. Here, the growth of those enrolled in master's degrees at the UCLM is more than double.

The UCLM, with the majority of its official master's degrees taught with face-to-face interaction on its campuses, has been able to reach a considerable level of growth in the number of students comparable to the number in private universities with distance learning, which increased by 25.7% in the last academic year.

The progress of the Statistics of University Students 2016-2017 already revealed last July that the UCLM was also the second public university in absolute terms, and the first one, in relative terms, with the greatest increase in the recruitment of new undergraduates. Hence, the results shown now reveal the growing demand for university studies in bachelor degrees and master’s degrees that the UCLM experiences.

It is worth noting that the UCLM has been recognized in recent months through various independent reports for the quality of its training offer, the employability of its graduates, or the excellence of its research. Since last August, it has been included in the four most prestigious rankings in the world: US News, Times Higher Education (THE), Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), or Jiao Tong University (Shangái).
