JUAN SEBASTIÁN CASTILLO VALERO, European Doctor of Economy, is Titular Professor of Economics, Sociology and Agrarian Policy at the University of Castilla- La Mancha as well as Researcher in the Regional Development Institute at the same University. He has stayed as guest researcher at the Universities of Bordeaux and Montpellier in France. He is author of several books on the wine sector, the agrarian sector, the Agriculture of Castilla- La Mancha, the Common Agrarian Policy, the globalisation, the agriculture mundialization and the European rural development. Besides, he has published many articles in national and international prestigious reviews. He has participated in papers and communications for national and international congresses (France, England, Germany, Australia, Japan, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Cuba, Colombia, Peru, Portugal, Greece, Hungary, etc.) and in discussion and study forums on economy and agrarian policy, as well as taking part in International Cooperation Projects in Cuba, Peru, Venezuela, Chile or Argentina. He has conducted several research projects financed by European and Spanish funds, he is particularly researching, commissioned by the European Commission, MAPYA and JCCM, the impact evaluation of the European agrarian funds in Castilla- La Mancha (FEOGA- Orientation, FEADER, and Initiative of rural development LEADER) and on the modulation of the direct aids from the CAP, the evaluation of the production and the commercialization on strategic sectors for the agriculture, the agrarian family farmings or the implementation of official statistics for the agrarian sector. Besides, he has organized and conducted several masters as well as postgrade and specialization courses, all of them about the agrofood sector. He has been Technician General Secretary for the Agriculture Ministry of the Castilla- La Mancha Government, Academic Director of Researching in the UCLM and councillor in the Administration Council of Castilla- La Mancha. He is member of the Spanish and European Agrarian Economics Associations (AA.EE.AA) He has presented the paper on the vine sector
in order to create the White Book of the Spanish Agriculture of the
Ministry of Agriculture, Fishery and Food, and he has participated
in the implementation of regional laws on Rural Development and the
CAP application in Castilla- La Mancha. He is member elect of the Spanish Association of Agrarian Economy Committee. Currently, he is conducting several projects subsidized by European, Spanish and regional funds, for instance:
