Intelligent card

The UCLM intelligent card is the identity card of students, teaching staff and administration staff and services that have been available since the beginning of 1997. It consists of a plastic card which contains a micro processor chip, a photo, a magnetic strip and a barcode which allows the holder to access to numerous services.

This card was developed within the framework of the collaboration agreement signed between UCLM and the Bank of Santander.

Current services

University ID

It is the current University of Castilla-La Mancha ID. It contains a photo of the holder, their name and their identification number.

Library card

The ID card (intelligent card) has a barcode which allows the holder to borrow books from the University libraries.

4B function and free access to Internet

It has the same function as the 4B card with no cost to the holder. It allows you to:

  • Obtain cash from ATM´s (*)
  • Buy and pay in any establishment associated with the 4B system
  • Charge/refill your electronic account (incorporated into the card) download, and check your movements (*)
  • Free access to Internet (**)

(*) There are no additional costs in the network of 4B ATM´s. In other networks, additional costs are fixed by the commission applied by the financial entity to which the ATM belongs.
(**) Through a call to SUPERLINIA SANTANDER 902 11 22 11(Promotion valid till the end of the campaign)

Applying for your card

If you are applying for the first time:

  1. Complete the photo, at the authorized points.
  2. Attach the original photo with a white background.
  3. Attach a photocopy of your ID number, passport of residence card as indicated.
  4. Hand in said documents to:

If your card needs replacing due to losing it, it being stolen or deterioration:

You don´t need to hand in the previous documents. It is only necessary to have proper identification and to ask for the replacement at the locations indicated.

Electronic account

The Electronic account incorporated into the University ID card (intelligent card) facilitates the payment of low-cost services on the UCLM campuses, such as cafeterias, photocopies, some course fees… Futhermore, the account can be used outside the campus in those establishments within the account 4B service.

Where can you pay with the account? In all of the Campus, in other words, Albacete Campus, Ciudad Real Campus, Cuenca Campus and Toledo Campus.

Where and how to refill the account/wallet? By card or in cash.
