Ciudad Real Campus and Almadén map

The Ciudad Real campus, which had over 9,100 students in 2009, runs down a center line along which stand the José Castillejo Building, Lorenzo Hervás y Panduro Building and the Faculty of Chemistry. It then branches off into two lines, with the General Lecture Hall building and that of the Library and General Services. Facing the latter building is the Faculty of Arts, and next to it, the Polytechnic complex.

On the other side of Camilo José Cela Street rises the Multi-purpose Laboratories building, and the Institute for Chemical and Environmental Technology. Ciudad Real is moreover home to the Rectorate, located in the former Royal House of Mercy, founded by Cardinal Lorenzana. The campus also brings together the duties of Teaching Staff, European Convergence, Academic Planning, Students, Infrastructure, Cultural Cooperation, Academic Policy and New Teachings, International Relations, Secretariat General and Management. The University’s General Foundation also has its central office in Ciudad Real.

Some 100 kilometers away from Ciudad Real, in Almadén, stands the Polytechnic School. It is the result of and also the tribute to the city’s mining tradition, where nowadays the degrees of Mining Engineering and Industrial Engineering are taught.

The city of Puertollano, a reference in the world of mining and energy, is home to the Centre for University Studies, where since 2005-2006 the degree of Aeronautical and Airport Management may be studied.
