The dates for academic activities established in the academic calendar constitute a period of minimum teaching, but schools may begin their academic activities before or finish them after the indicated dates.
Beginning of the academic year: From September 5 (Schools can delay the beginning of the academic year till September 12 for the first year students).
First semester: Academic period: From September 5 to December 23.
Second semester: Academic period: From January 30 to May 18.
Exams:

  • December exams (third opportunity): From November 14 to 30.
  • First semester final exams (1st semester courses): From January 9 to January 26.
  • Second semester final exams (semester and whole year courses): From May 21 to June 6.
  • First and Second semester final exams (second opportunity): From June 18 to July 9.

Deadline for changes in final marks:

  • Final exams third opportunity (December): December 7
  • First semester final exams: February 10
  • Second semester final exams (semester and whole year courses): June 12
  • First and Second semester final exams (second opportunity): July 12

Holidays:

  • From December 24 to January 6: Christmas
  • From April 2 to April 9: Easter
  • January 27: St. Tomás de Aquino
  • School festivities will be set according to the decision of every school, on the previous or next Monday or Friday after the official festivity day. These festivity dates will be published on this website later on.

National Holidays:

  • October 12: Columbus day
  • November 1: All Saints day
  • December 6: Day of Spanish Constitution
  • December 8: Inmaculada Concepción day.
  • The rest of the public holidays will be set according to the Regional Government and their dates will be published on this website later on.
