The 5th European Summer School of Electrochemical Engineering will take place in Almagro a small town in the nearness of Ciudad Real (Spain) during the second week of September 2008.

How to reach Ciudad Real

 

The best way to reach Ciudad Real is by plane. There are two main options:

 

Go directly to Ciudad Real-Central Airport. It is located 15 km from Ciudad Real at the A-43 Motorway, Exit 178. Tel. 0034- 902 200 522.
There are direct flights to Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. There are connections to many other international destinations. There are buses from the passengers terminal to Ciudad Real that stop in both bus and railway stations. The price is 2.10 €. Schedules are available in the airport web-page.

Go to Madrid-Barajas Airport. From Madrid, there are several high Speed trains (AVE) that run everyday directly from Atocha Station in Madrid to Ciudad Real Station. Schedules and prices can be looked up at RENFE web-page. These trains take approximately 1 hour to arrive to Ciudad Real. The best way to go from Barajas airport to Atocha Station (Atocha Renfe stop) is by underground.

 
From any other city in Spain, the easiest way to get Ciudad Real is by train. Schedules and prices are available at the RENFE web-page.

 

How to go from Ciudad Real to Almagro

 

By train:

There are direct trains from Ciudad Real to Almagro for 2.40 €. Departure times:

From Ciudad Real: 9:18 - 14:41 - 17:26 - 21:50 (Except Saturdays).

From Almagro: 8:43 - 13:33 (Except Sundays) - 15:55 - 21:02.

 

By Bus:

There are direct buses from Ciudad Real to Almagro for app. 2 €. Departure times:

From Ciudad Real. Monday to Friday: 7:00 – 12:30 – 13:00- 13:30 – 14:00 – 17:00 – 19:15. Saturday: 13:00 – 17:00

From Almagro: Monday to Friday: 8:00 - 8:30 - 9:00 - 11:45 - 15:00 - 16:00 - 18:15. Saturday: 9:30 – 15:00

 

With ESSEE organization

During Sunday afternoon transportation to the meeting site  will be organized. Information will be given in due course .
