• Design, synthesis and structural characterization of new compounds based on Fullerene and Carbon Nanotubes.
• Application of the microwave energy for the synthesis of these derivatives.
• Design and synthesis of new organic dyes with application in the development of solar cells.
• Organic Molecular Wires.
• Study of the photoinduced electron transfer processes in these systems

NANOMATERIALS BASED ON FULLERENE AND CARBON NANOTUBES

We have several labs, two for the synthesis of new fullerene and carbon nanotube derivatives and three for structural characterization and for the studies the electronic properties of the new compounds.
