I am a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences who graduated in May 1997 from the University of California at Berkeley. My thesis advisor was Professor Felix Wu, and the thesis topic was Power Systems Transmission Planning using cooperative game theory and decentralized optimization in power systems using the Ptolemy platform.

I have also developed optimization interfaces for the Ptolemy platform, as seen in Chapter 5 of the Thesis. The web address to obatin the distributed optimization software is: ftp://sistelet.ing.unicas.it/DistOpt. For more information, go to DistOpt. My current research interests are cooperative game theory applications to Power Systems, Distributed Optimization applications in the Ptolemy environment, and bidding strategies in electricity markets. From 1997 to 1998 I was a researcher at the Instituto de Investigación Tecnológica, Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería (ICAI), Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Madrid. Currently I am an Full Professor at Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Ciudad Real, Spain.
